Bob O'Connell made life look easy. He built a wonderful life with his wife of 50 years, Mary, and together they raised three daughters – Megan, Bridget, and Colleen. For much of his 73 years, Bob lived as the only male in the household, which probably attributed to his dark curly hair turning gray…either that or teaching all three daughters how to drive. With Mary by his side, Bob quietly passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. He is survived by family and friends, and was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a son-in-law. A celebration of Bob's life will be held from 2 to 5 pm on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10). In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Bon Secours Cancer Institute Medical Oncology at St. Francis, 14051 St. Francis Boulevard, Suite 2210, Midlothian, VA 23114 or to Legacy Hospice, 1801 Bayberry Ct., Richmond, VA 23226. Many tears have already been and will continue to be shed as the result of Bob's passing - something he didn't want as Bob would rather everyone remember the good times. He also didn't want this obituary, but like most of his life, his wife and daughters overruled him on that. Sorry, Bob/Dad, but we know you are probably sailing away without a care in the world.
